The Gambling Commission are now looking for an Economic Analyst to help drive forecasting and support market size and shape predictions.

As an Economic Analyst, you will be challenged to assist in economic forecasting activities with particular focus on the changing size and shape of the regulated gambling industry.
This is an important role that will see you utilising a wide range of different methods to gain an understanding of regulatory challenges, both present and upcoming and on an international and domestic basis.
You’ll look into future regulations, competition within the market, fiscal, consumer and technological elements and any other aspects that will affect the direction or success of the gambling marketplace.
Additionally, you will:
- Provide support and training to new team members
- Undertake analytical tasks such as cost/benefit analysis
- Provide a policy perspective from a consumer’s point of view
- Deliver specialist advice to drive decision making from an economic insight standpoint
- Develop an in-depth understanding of current and future markets from an economic perspective
So, if this the role for you? If so, you will need experience as an economic analyst or senior economic analysis professional. Sound judgement and proven problem-solving skills are also key.
As an Economic Analyst, you will have the willingness to support and upskill others. A strong communicator, you will also have well developed interpersonal abilities and skills in imparting complex information effectively.
