Cash is dispensed to Service Users or their representatives, for whom the Client Affairs Team (CAT) acts, in designated Adult Services Offices. The proposed scheme operated by the Post Office will mean that the Service User and/or their representative will collect cash from a Post Office of their choice.

You'll liaise with the CAT case officer, the care manager and area admin, finance and the service user and/or their carers as necessary, to identify whether a Post Office scheme is appropriate. If it is you'll agree amounts required and frequency of withdrawals.

A highly motivated, flexible team player, you’ll be able to work under pressure, approaching tasks with confidence and clarity and be able to work using your own initiative to meet deadlines.

It is essential that you possess good communication and organisational skills, and have administrative experience in an office environment, you'll have proven numerical ability and possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
Job purposeIn order to achieve a successful outcome the person appointed will need to:

  • Liaise with the CAT case officer, the care manager and Area admin/finance/SU as necessary, to identify whether PO scheme is appropriate. If it is, agree amounts required and frequency of withdrawals.
  • Agree with PO/SU et al the form of identity required.
  • Details to PO spreadsheet.
  • Notify state of progress to interested parties

Formal qualification (beyond GCSE) and competence in specialist functions as appropriate

  • Previous experience delivering a wide range of administrative functions
  • Computer literacy with experience of using a variety of software for data management and transmission
  • Excellent communication skills, written and oral
  • Excellent organisational skills

  • Work well under pressure and used to meeting deadlines
  • Good at problem solving; lateral thinker
  • Team commitment: Work well as part of a large team which is growing
  • Significant experience working in an office
