Great Britain’s gambling industry is in a constant state of change, fuelled by shifting consumer behaviour and the rapid growth of technology. It’s high profile politically too, and the legislation controlling gambling is constantly under scrutiny. Within this uniquely challenging and evolving environment, The Gambling Commission’s role is to ensure that gambling is crime free, fair and open - and that children and vulnerable people are protected. Now they need you to play a key role in their future, driving the change needed to ensure that the Gambling Commission can meet the growing complexity of the market and their developing regulatory remit.

The Gambling Commission are now looking for an Account Manager to join the Licensing Department and support assessments for gambling licences from a wide variety of businesses.

This is the ideal role for a decisive customer service professional to advance their career with a highly regarded and nationally known regulatory body.

As an Account Manager, you will proactively manage the licensing lifecycle for a portfolio of accounts. Joining the Licensing Department, you will ensure that applications are made from suitable parties and licence holders are suitable to operate and remain within the gambling industry.

You’ll assess not-complex licensing applications and variations through research and analysis, make recommendations and decisions based on your findings and in-line with a risk-based approach, and provide excellent levels of service to your accounts.

Additionally, you will:

- Take ownership of issues and produce the right solution
- Record information and assure the quality of data and decision making
- Exceed organisational-led SLAs and KPIs
- Work with specialist teams
- Mentor junior personnel

To be considered, you will need:

- Experience of providing excellent customer service including building effective stakeholder relations
- Analytical and decision-making capability
- Attention to detail including experience of writing case notes
- The ability to build on sector knowledge with particular reference to regulatory information

Organised and proactive, as an Account Manager, you will also need strong relationship building skills, plenty of initiative and flexibility and a team player mentality.
